How do I reconnect my Netgear Extender Setup to my home network?

Using Ethernet to reconnect the NETGEAR WiFi range extender:

  • Link an Ethernet cable to your device with your range extender.
  • Launch your web browser on your computer.
  • Type mywifiext.net in the address bar of your web browser.
  • Push Enter or press the Search button.
  • Shows the home tab.

Can’t access www.mywifiext.net for troubleshooting help?

Enter the username and password that you have selected during the set-up process.

Note: The default name of the account is admin and the default password is the password. The username and password are sensitive to the situation.

  • Click the login tab.
  • Choose Configuration > Wireless Settings.
  • Check that the value in the Password (Network Key) field matches your router password under Security Options.
  • If your password is not matched, change it to your password for the router.
  • Click the Submit tab.
  • Link the WiFi gadgets back to the extender.
Reconnect to Netgear Extender Setup

To reconnect the WiFi range extender from WiFi:

  • Click and hold the Factory Settings button (located on the side panel) for 7 seconds.
  • Resets the range extender in order to configure the Netgear Extender Setup.
  • Open the WiFi menu of your machine or mobile device and connect to the default WiFi network extender, NETGEAR EXT.
  • Open a web server on the linked computer.
  • Type http://mywifiext.net in the address bar of your web browser.
  • Push Enter or press the Search button.
  • Shows the home tab.

Can’t access mywifiext setup for troubleshooting?

  • Please enter your username and password.
  • Note: The default name of the account is admin and the default password is the password. The username and password are sensitive to the situation.
  • Click the LOG IN tab.
  • Take the instructions to link your extension to your home network.
  • Note: If your router uses WEP encryption, enter your network name (SSID) and password when prompted.
  • Link the WiFi gadgets back to the extender.
