RESET NETGEAR EXTENDER SETUP
When a factory reset takes place, all of the custom settings made by the user such as log in name (username), network name (SSID), and protection settings are all deleted.
The reset procedure for the Netgear WiFi range extender is important if the real network name and password are missing.
Factory reset will uninstall all custom settings, including your user name, password, network name (SSID) and security settings. A factory reset is necessary if you cannot recover the admin password of your range extender.
- Use the Reset button on the extender to reset it.
- Verify that the Power Light of your extender is on.
- Locate the Uninstall or Factory Reset button on your extender.
- The button is usually mounted on the back, bottom, or side plate of the extender.
- Press and hold the Reset or Factory Reset button for seven seconds using a paper clip or similar piece.
- Release the Restore or Restart Factory press.
